International Child Abduction

When a child is taken outside of the country by a parent or other family member against the will of the the child's legal guardian, the parents and others involved are often at a loss as to what to do. By joining forces with its foreign counterparts in countries with whom Switzerland has signed bilateral agreements, the central authority for dealing with international child abduction at the Federal Office of Justice attempts to have the child returned as soon as possible.
